Top-Six in Balaton Park Race 1 for Chloe Jones and Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha in WorldWCR

Chloe Jones and Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha worked hard to come back to the fight at the front of the 2026 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship at Balaton Park in Hungary, achieving another top six finish in Race 1 last weekend.

The British rider from Daventry qualified P9 in Superpole on Friday, but missed out on retaining a grid position on the first three rows despite finishing strongly in the top six in Race 1 – as the grid for Race 2 is based on the top nine fastest lap times from the opening race.

Jones dug in once again to join the chasing pack behind the podium battle in Race 2 – making progress from P11 to run eighth through the middle of the race, before enjoying a late battle with Natalia Rivera that was decided by just 0.07s at the finish line.

WorldWCR takes a short break before returning to the Adriatic Coast for Misano next month, from 12-14 June.

Chloe Jones, Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha – Superpole: P9 / Race 1: P6 / Race 2: P9

“Race 1 at Balaton was a P6 in the end – frustratingly, I was still a second slower than I was last year. That’s difficult to accept, especially knowing the potential is there but I’ll keep working hard to close that gap back to the front. P9 in Race 2 was not where I wanted to finish, we had a target to be at the front of the group in P5, I’m not sure really what’s going on at the moment but I’ve got five weeks to sit back analyse and work harder to be back to my normal self for the second part of the season. It’s important to keep smiling and move on to the next one! Thank you to the Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha team for all the hard work, it will all come together!”
