Misano saw some of the tightest winning margins in the 2026 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, as Beatriz Neila pushed her main rival to the very end of both Race 1 and Race 2 in Italy last weekend.

A strong Friday saw Ampito Crescent Yamaha’s #36 qualify on the front row, providing the perfect start point for Race 1 on Saturday. Neila and title rival Maria Herrera made a clean getaway in Race 1, quickly gapping the chasing pack and setting a frenetic pace at the front.

Across 12 Laps, the difference at the line between the two riders was just 0.125s – and while Race 2 was almost identical, Neila stuck closer to Herrera than the day before, attempting to overtake multiple times before the run to the line on the final lap where she finished P2 by an even closer margin of 0.075s.

Despite missing out on the victory, Neila stretches her record to 22 consecutive podium finishes, a series best that dates back to Jerez 2024.

Next month will be another opportunity to put Ampito Crescent Yamaha back on the top step, with the penultimate round at Donington Park from 10-12 July.

Beatriz Neila, Ampito Crescent Yamaha – Superpole: P3 / Race 1: P2 / Race 2: P2

“I love Misano, it’s one of my favourites and I wanted to do well here for that reason. On Friday, I found a good feeling with my R7 and qualified on the front row which was important. Race 1 and Race 2 were similar, a battle between me and Maria. I tried my hardest to push until the end and am happy, but of course I wanted the win. We finished P2, which goes some way to repay the team for all their hard work this weekend – as always, thank you to Alan, Stuie, my family and Ampito Crescent Yamaha. Second place means important points for the championship and we will keep working hard in preparation for Donington and do our best to improve, as the championship is still open.”
