VIERGE

Xavi Vierge worked his way up from the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship where he raced in 2012 and 2013, before progressing to the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship, where in his second year became runner up with Tech 3 Racing.
In 2015, he replaced injured Moto2 rider Ricard Cardús in the Moto2 World Championship with the Tech 3 Racing team, where he was retained by the team again in 2016, achieving a best result of eight place in the Argentinian GP, and ultimately winning Rookie of the Year. Vierge stayed with the team in 2017, where despite suffering some injuries, was able to achieve his first podium finish in the championship with a second-place finish at Motegi. He ended the season in 11th position overall.
Vierge stayed in the Moto2 championship for four more years achieving several pole position starts and podiums along the way, with his best championship position being 10th place overall with the Petrona Sprinta Racing team in 2020. His last Moto2 podium came in Barcelona at his home race in 2021.
In 2022 the Spanish rider made the switch to the FIM Superbike World Championship, where he worked with his new team to adjust to a new bike and new circuits. He finished his debut season in 10th place.During the 2023 season, Vierge achieved his first podium at a dramatic race in Mandalika where he battled amongst the front runners in a restarted race, eventually finishing in third place. Vierge also won the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours in the Endurance World Championship in the same year.
In 2024 and 2025 he continued with consistent progress and a highest placed World Superbike championship finish of seventh position overall. For the 2026 season, Vierge has signed to the Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK Official Team, partnering regular podium finisher Andrea Locatelli. Early strong pace in testing has showed his promise, and he will be aiming to get up to speed quickly with the team and continue to showcase his talent as a rider.
