It was triumph for Chloe Jones and Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha as the #15 returned to the podium for the first time in 2026 at Round 4 of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship at Misano in Italy, last weekend.
The third-place in Race 1 was a hard-fought accolade for the British rider from Daventry, after she qualified once again in ninth position in Superpole on Friday. After a challenging start, dropping to the back of the top 15, Jones clawed her way back into contention – running P8 at the midway point and then locking into the battle for the final podium position in a tight, five-rider group. The fight went down to the wire, as Jones came through to the front of the group and achieved the podium after Muklada Sarapuech was penalised for a yellow flag infringement.
Despite faster pace in Race 2 on Sunday, Jones received a double-long lap penalty for moving on the start grid and worked her way back to P10 – further banking increased confidence on her Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha R7.
The team and Jones’ British home round at Donington Park awaits next month from 10-12 July – before the summer break with the season finale taking place at Jerez in October.

“A really great Race 1. It feels amazing – this season’s been difficult, but I’ve had such a good team behind me and now I’m just buzzing, I’m so happy to be back on the podium. I didn’t make a good start but told myself that I wasn’t going home without a fight. I think I was lying around fifteenth at one point, but I worked my way back up and was a bit more aggressive than I have been. I’m enjoying my riding a lot more now, which is important, as you go faster when you’re having fun. We clearly made a step, both with the bike and in myself. P10 on Sunday didn’t reflect the race I had, unfortunately with a jump start and double long lap penalty. My pace at the start of the race was faster than Race 1 so it felt like my gap to leaders was closer! Felt a lot more comfortable on the bike as well, which is another positive moving forward to my home round in a couple weeks’ time. Thank you to the whole crew, Monster Energy and Crescent Yamaha for all the hard work this weekend – and thank you to Mum, Dad, James, all my family, sponsors and supporters! Let’s keep building the confidence and momentum now.”
