A weekend of strong home support for Chloe Jones and Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha, as the Daventry rider finished sixth in Race 1 and fourth in Race 2 at the Round 5 of the 2026 FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship.
Friday saw the British rider qualify seventh in Superpole despite a crash at Turn 1 that left her with a leg abrasion injury. A subsequent six-place grid penalty pushed her back to P12 on the grid for Race 1.
From there, Jones put in a fighting recovery – working her way through the field to join the battle for third place before eventually crossing the line in sixth.
On Sunday, the Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha rider lined up from fourth on the grid and once again pushed hard for the podium until the very end, crossing the finish line in fourth to the delight of the home crowd – with the result allowing her to begin to close in on P5 in the series standings.
The championship now breaks for the summer, with the season finale and final round taking place at Jerez from 16-18 October.
Chloe Jones – Superpole: P7 / Race 1: P6 / Race 2: P4
“A tough, but really rewarding weekend at home. Friday was tricky – I had a fast crash in Superpole which left me with a leg injury, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. A grid penalty in qualifying pushed me back to P12 for Race 1, which made things even harder, but I'm proud of the fight I put in to work my way through to P6. The support from the home crowd was truly something else – I always knew I had a good backing behind me, but this weekend was on another level entirely. On Sunday I made a strong start and was able to race with the leaders in the early stages, which was really encouraging. I couldn't quite maintain that pace to the end and crossed the line in P4, but there are a lot of positives to take forward. A huge thank you to the marshals and medical team who helped me after Friday's crash – without them I wouldn't have been on the grid this weekend. And to the whole Monster Energy Crescent Yamaha crew, my family and every supporter who came out to Donington – thank you. It means everything!”
